Since I implemented the new blog visitor engagement has tanked, so has any vestigial of enthusiasm in having a blog that is functional.
Is there an ETA for allowing visitors to like and comment on articles without having to be forced into a membership?
Are you guys ever going to add an EXPAND feature for images? what is the point of all these galleries if images can't be expanded on desktop? makes no sense, especially for someone in the arts or any site that works with a lot of images.
Here is a simple example of a gallery that has an image expand/lightbox feature. :https://www.beyondthestreets.com/artists/
Links don't work, alt text doesn't work, videos are lop sided on mobile, email notification for signup grabs the free Wix domain instead of the premium domain and confuses the hell out of people, indexing problems, there are so many bugs and imperative issues that need to be fixed.
Yes, please remove membership requirement for blog comments and likes!
Hi @Brandon Contreras,
thank you for sharing your needs. I'm including your vote for the feature allowing to comment without the sign-up. Working on the comments system improvement is in our near plans.
I'm having the same issue. I don't understand the concept of requiring visitors to my site to sign up as a member to connect with my blog posts. I use WixBlog as a blog for myself and my team but not for our visitors to post content.
Hi Steve,
thank you for your valuable feedback.
I can confirm that working on the comments system is in our nearest plans, however, as a matter of policy we do not disclose ETA of the features.
Images expansion in the gallery - we launched the galleries with the basic functionality first and we are going to improve it.
The issue regarding email notifications and domain title has been fixed. As for the others - thank you for reporting.
