I don't want the view counter to show. I am able to hide it when I see the blog "covers" on my home page. But when a click on an individual one, it still shows up at the bottom. If someone knows how to completely hide the view counter, that would be awesome!

You can customise the elements that you want to show in the post page in the post page settings. Access it from the main blog settings (click 'Go to post page' at the bottom), then double-click on the post page and in the settings go to 'Display':
