Okay, who updated the Blog RSS feed, but not for the good! I am having a look at my blog rss feed and It's completely changed. First of all, there is a bug where the URL for the blog post has two // after the domain (https://www.mysite.com//post/this-is-my-post) - this is clearly causing issues with loading to the post through RSS because the url is not correct.
Secondly, you have REMOVED all of the post body content, meaning we now only see for example 300 characters and nothing else. Can someone explain what is going on? This blog RSS needs to be fixed and in-line with Facebook Instant Articles standards to say the least!!!
These // are shown everywhere and causing problems. First i noticed on groups - they fixed. Today I noticed while copying address of Blog post wit Wix App (mobile).
Yes also happens on Wix app when getting the url
Hello,
The issue with the link should already be fixed. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Regarding the issue with the characters. we plan to improve that in the future.
Hope this helps!
When is the future?!?!!
Hello @Robert Hamilton,
thank you for your concern, as you may know it's a matter of internal policy that we cannot disclose release dates.
Thank you for your understanding.
Or more to the point you have no idea.
Hello,
writing to inform that the RSS feed <description> field now includes full length content. Char limit has been removed.
Wow. What a fast response. 👍
Hi @Rafal Zacharevič, while this is great. When are you gonna be making the description field formatted? It’s embarrassing.
Hello @Robert Hamilton,
because of internal policy I can't give the precise ETA, but be assured it's planned.
@Rafal Zacharevič Having a HTML formatted <description> element node is something that is really necessary. While I understand that feature roadmaps are private, it really isn't that difficult to implement, and will be a big win. It really is a low-hanging fruit that should be bumped to the top of the backlog. Is this piece of code on the github repo? https://github.com/wix
If it is, I'll just fix it myself and do a pull request. Thanks.
