I have just tried to go from the old Wix blog to the new Wix blog, but realised, as many others, that the new Wix blog is not fit for purpose.
I would imagine that one day the new Wix blog is fit for purpose, and that I will migrate then. This leaves me with a problem:
I have "imported" the old Wix blog into the new Wix blog, and cannot "undo" this, even when I delete the new Wix blog.
I now need to continue using the old Wix blog, and add more blog posts. If in say 6 months I want to use the new blog, I cannot "import" the old blog anymore, because I have done that once already? Does that mean I will have to manually re-create each new blog post in the new Wix blog then?
Or is there a way to make the new Wix blog "forget" it once imported the old blog, and have it reset, so that in future, I can import the complete old Wix blog again?
Thank you for your help
Hey,
Sorry for to wait,
@Hilla Mohar from our team will send you an email to schedule with both of us.
Hi Rob,
Thanks for your feedback. We would like to have a chat with you about what you're missing,
we will contact you via mail to set it up.
Hi Ronny,
by "not fit for purpose" I am referring to all the missing features in the new blog, which were available in the old blog. For example:
- Users are unable to change the color of the text in the blog posts
- There are limited options for formatting text in the blog post
- Lack of a sliding blog post gallery like it was available in the old blog
- Limited options to change sizes and positions of images
- Limited editing options for the blog post gallery
- .....
There are so many I can't list them all. I guess Wix was just testing an MVP and accidentally released it as a feature.
Rob
Can you please share what does not fit in the new blog?
