Hi Wix blog folks - thanks for all your hard work! I see a lot of on-going upgrades which are always appreciated!
Meanwhile I'm having a strange issue - I can easily tag blog posts with categories such as "featured" to show up on my home page or "speaking" to show up on my speaking page, but the posts don't consistently show up where I tag them.
For example this post (https://www.blorrainesmith.com/blog/presentation-at-reversapalooza) shows up on the home page but not on the speaking page.
Further, I back-dated it to June 1 but it's showing up as the most recent post.
Any pointers? Thank you!
B. Lorraine Smith
Hi Lorraine,
thanks for your post.
I checked your blog and I see the post displayed on the 'Speaking' category page:
I also see that all the posts including this one are displayed and ordered correctly, according to date (newest on top).
Let me know if you still experience these issues!

Hi,
I am experiencing a similar issue with category. I write a blog post, I click the category to assign it..for example BREAKFAST. When I preview it, an error message shows up in Breakfast, and then the recipe shows up in other categories I did not assign.
In my header, I have FOOD then the other categories by course (breakfast, lunch, dinner). My goal is for viewers to click the category they want a recipe for, and then all of the recipes for the course they selected shows up.
When viewers visit the main blog page, they click a category in the header, which takes them to all of the posts included with that specific category. Correct?
Thanks in advance if you have any suggestions. I've been working on this for two days.

Hi! Thanks for detailed description of the issue. Please send the URL of the site so we could investigate your specific case.
I'm having a similar problem. I wrote some blog pages, and then later decided I wanted to categorize them. I added the categories, and then selected the category for the individual blogs, but they don't show up on the category pages. Is there a way to copy them to the category page? Or shouldn't they automatically display?
Hi Caballolinda,
thanks for joining Wix Blog community.
Could you please send the link of the post that doesn't show-up on the category page? Does it show-up in the 'All posts' category?
I browsed your site and so far the posts that are published - they all seem to be attributed to categories and working correctly.
Hi Blorrainesmith, Bricoopers2009, Caballolinda,
we can't locate the issues with categories without the more detailed information from you. Could you please send:
- your site URL
- your individual blog post URL that doesn't work correctly
- the screenshot of the page where you are not able to see the attributed post
Bricoopers2009 - please also send the screenshot with the error message you get.
Caballolinda - maybe you didn't saved/published the post, therefore the post is not visible. Please double-check.
Thanks,
Simona
Hi, also experiencing the same thing. My categories does not work. I assigned the post to particular category (Wander), and still it showed up in other categories (Dine & Dear Baby). My blog URL: https://neysarismalina.wixsite.com/neycit
Hello,
I checked your website and it seems you're not using a category filter on your custom feed. You need to click on the custom feed, go to the settings -> display -> choose a category for your feed.
Then it will display posts only from that category.
More information on custom feeds here: https://support.wix.com/en/article/displaying-posts-on-multiple-site-pages-using-a-custom-feed-in-the-new-wix-blog
Hope this helps!
Hi,
I am having an issue where I am using a custom feed, and an article is showing up in that feed without having that category tag.
https://www.briafundsupporters.com/fip-treatments
Only articles with "Treatment" should be appearing here but that first one "When Feline Coronavirus..." only has the category "FIP in the News" and should not appear on this page. All of the other articles are behaving appropriately.
I have tried, unpublishing and republishing, trying publishing with no categories, tried setting it to Treatments and then removing it. I am not sure how to remove this article from this custom feed.
Appreciate any help. Thanks!
Hello @kyliekiel,
Perhaps the custom feed's category is not set properly? If there's no filter, the custom feed will show all the posts.
You can set the category filter from the Custom Feed's settings -> Display
Tell me if this helps!
Hi Rafal,
Thank you for your prompt response. I have had it set as Treatment all along but it never seems to pull the right articles. (We are a small page so I never worried too much but we are trying to stay current now.)
If you click on the Treatment category from the main feed on https://www.briafundsupporters.com/fip-news/categories/treatment it is a different list than what is appearing on the Treatment page.
I am not sure where I am going wrong.
Hello again @kyliekiel,
I have fixed the issue for you. It seems for some strange reason it was showing all the posts even though you had selected only 1 category. I simply selected all the posts again and clicked the one category, again. It worked!
I hope this helps!
@Rafal Zacharevič Thank you! Looks to be working. If it fails in the future I will just try resetting the custom feed categories.
