Can someone from the blog team please tell me why an embedded tweet entered into the Wix blog html looks like this on mobile view?
Don't tell me it is because it is a 3rd party app when it works on WordPress and every other media Blog I have seen the same tweet on today.
Html HAS to be responsive. If it can't even handle a tweet (don't get me started on videos or Adsense) what is the point?
Embedding from social media is standard practice within a blog, this has to change - quickly!
Hi Mario, I would like to thank you guys for listening to our feedback and implementing a prompt fix for this. We do appreciate this and let’s hope we can continued to share our feedback and make the blog the best it can be in the future. Thank you! ⭐️
Hi guys,
First of all, I want to let you know that we have released a fix for the HTML responsive on Mobile.
Sandra, I have checked your site on my phone and looks that the HTML is working good.
There is still some minor alignment issue with the HTML plugin when Adsense is used. We are investigating this issue, but as you can see on the screenshot I took from you site, it is very minor.
Also, I want to give you guys some advice on how to use the 100% of the HTML plugin capabilities. I have noticed that in general, when adding the Plugin, you do not adjust the height and width. If you adjust those parameters, your HTML plugin will look better, both in desktop and mobile.
@joepizza, I also checked your site, and seems that all issues related to the HTML plugin in the mobile are fixed thanks to our recent release.
Robert, I couldn’t find any post with an HTML code on it, but from now on, it should be working good.
I will be looking for your feedback!

Your frustration sounds strong, and warranted if you have been at this for over two years. I am at the beginning of the "request journey" full of optimism and excitement that Wix will come through. All I can say is that Wix (in general) has made a product that is superior in its market space and has the potential to acquire significant marketshare from competitors, the 4 sites I have built for owners in the past few months is proof positive. I tested all the competitors and Wix offerings are superior hands down.
Now the Wix Blog. It has enormous potential, you can tell the company and its leadership is aware it wants to offer an option to the blog market, but how committed they are depends on how much value they see in this space. I personally was not a "blog fan" in the past, I could have be jaded by my uniformed position assuming blogs are just for niche people with too much time on their hands. What I have uncovered is the "Blogging Experience" offers a solution for what I consider is the leading reason people surf the web, perhaps only second to eCommerce, and if being honest maybe porn too.
Think about all of social media, it's essentially a Blog, Facebook is a glorified Blog, Twitter a short handed blog, Youtube Channels are a video blog. A Blog by definition is: a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style. Facebook, Twitter, Youtube Channels, and others have just taken this Blog concept, rebranded it, and made it easy for everyone, everywhere to build their own Blog Page in the form of posts, channels, and pages.
Leadership should be aware of what is next in this cycle. Now that the market is saturated with individuals and opinions of all types across all social media, and we know dissemination of info is instantaneous, consumers are next going to be looking for reputable sites/professionals/outlets to sift through all these individual opinions and provide them the executive summary and supplemental commentary, I see Blogs being able to provide this solution. Leadership should see the writing on the wall and invest all in on Wix Blog, because one day soon it will be more popular and in demand that Wix Shop.
A large portion of small businesses will need a way to provide daily information in an interactive and professional way, outside of the circus atmosphere on social media platforms, and this need can best be served by a Blog format on their small business websites. Its just a matter of: does Wix Leadership see this trend coming and can they get their Blog product to a point where it can lead the way?
Here's the Wix leadership team, maybe you should contact them:
https://investors.wix.com/management
It's a matter of priority, does leadership just want Wix Blog as a listed capability in its marketing material and when experimented with just turns out to be a fraction of what could be, or do they see the value in what is possible with Blogs and how Wix can lead the way for all industries of small business to be a useful tool in this next generation of communication and dissemination of professional and reputable information and opinion?
Summary: FIX what is already broken/not usable, stop developing more. Currently we are waiting to migrate our blog to the new posts page, this shouldn't have even been launched until the full feature was available to everyone, because you then get a LOT of people like myself asking about it. It causes confusing. Business Manager Draft Posts showing the wrong order? = FIX this HTML not working as expected = FIX this Links colour, etc and text not showing spacing between images = FIX this FIX what is broken...stop trying to add more for it to break again.
Hi Guys,
we understand the importance of the feature that html should be responsive without consideration. However, there are many other Blog attributes that should be there without the consideration so we must prioritise the delivery of it. We do not provide ETAs but can assure you that we are aware of the gap we currently have with the html being not responsive.
Haha, don't even get me started on a responsive HTML embed. I believe at the moment, it's not a priority for the blog team? Maybe their data says not many people use it, BUT many people don't use it because of this very reason. So yeah.
With you on the Apster too Robert. I always used this with the old blog perfectly. Now I have to use a new page to put a poll up. It should be in the blog.
Adsense is driving me mad as you can’t use a responsive code. On every other media blog it is responsive.
This HTML problem needs sorting fast!
I agree, this is a complete disgrace. HTML should be responsive (if the code in responsive) and it should work on mobile, I also see the exact same issues with third party tools such as Apester and Facebook Post embed. I am really really starting to loose my mind with this blog product now. I am sick to the max now with hearing “It’s coming soon” + “It’s going to be fixed soon” etc but actually it takes a while to be fixed. I and many others brought up about the responsiveness issue when the HTML was launched, but yet again we are no further forward with having this fixed (monthhhhhhhs later I may add). Again, the old blog worked perfectly with HTML embed, HOW is it even possible to release a new blog (which didn’t have the HTML at first) and then all of a sudden it’s worse than the way the old one functioned, I don’t understand.
Same issue I reported last week.
We are screen capturing tweet, adding as image to post, and hyperlinking to tweet in new window as a work around until this is resolved by the Wix Team as the issue is with sizing of the embedded iframe which is not editable by Wix Users.
