Alright, it's been a while since i did one of these posts.
We need to see some more big features coming out - i am fed up waiting about now. It's either now or never as i will have to move to Wordpress (No i'm not threatening this, just need to do what is best) i love Wix blog but developments are too slow.

Hi Robert,
Thank you for the feedback.
Can you please elaborate which layouts and design options are missing for you?
Regarding the Corvid features, we have them on our roadmap and we know that they are very important.
Can you please elaborate what is wrong with using HTML embed for embedding Twitter and Facebook posts?
Regarding the SEO settings - we added your requests to our wishlist
Hello @Maya Ekron,
Thanks for the reply. I would like to see some more modernisation to the design of the blog, currently i feel the design options are very limited. It all seems too blocky/squared off.
Some design options that would be good:
Corner Radius of Blog Background
Shadow of Blog Background
Option to Move Author Name & Image to the bottom (end of post)
Here is a couple of blog elements that have nice design:
1. Recent/Featured Posts Design
2. Post Page
Agree on Robert's comment. Blog needs more trendy visibility. Also author to go down with description of the author. Image of the author to be sizable.
I too would like to see the authors name moved to the bottom. As it stands I find it dominates where the blog title or picture should dominate the post.
I am am also disappointed the comments without log in uses an app which charges you for more than 10 comments. This should be included in the blog app. If you can comment as members I fail to see why the Wix blog cannot allow an option of commenting without being a member.
The general blog layout I'm happy with, but the recent posts needs to be far flashier with the image responsive to the blog post. Roberts example is good.
Hi guys, thanks for the elaboration :)
I need a brick layout that will be designed like the editorial layout. And that you will fix the editorial layout bug (not sorting by date) instead of telling me that it's not a priority when there are not many/enough layouts options. Thank you
BTW, the link for the Wishlist page in the 2nd post is not working.
Hi Shlomit,
Have you considered using repeaters in order to design the feed the way you want it to be?
@Maya Ekron Based on your posts and suggestions I've created a repeater connected to a database for posts- but I can't find a way to create a clickable link in the repeater to the post page! So if I choose to do just an excerpt of the post, the user can't navigate to the full post. Does that make sense?
You can add code to the piece of excerpt to go to the post page. Let me know if you need help with coding this.
@Robert McCormick Yeah, I don't know how to do that. Via Corvid?
Hi Maya,
My blog is a learning blog. I'm totally new to wix and I'm checking if I can move my site to Wix. I have many subscribers (In the graphic design area) and since it's in Hebrew I'm checking it all.
Each post is a tip of the application I'm teaching. It has a title that can go in 1-2 lines and a text that can be very long with images. I'm not sure that what you suggested is what I need.
Can I auto apply repeaters to my posts? It looks like it fits to a few items, but I have around 90 tips. Thank you
Shlomit
Hi Shlomit,
If you don't find any layout from the suggested layouts that fits you, you can always work with repeaters.
You can add a repeated from the add panel, design it exactly how you want it to look and then connect it to the blog data automatically. Is it something that you will consider? I can write you the exact instructions.
Hi Maya
Can you please send me a link to a blog the uses it? I think it will be helpful.
thank you
@Shlomit I can even help you do this if you add me as a contributor and show me a design you like. :)
@Robert Hamilton I already created 41 posts. I than went to the repeaters but didn't find one that fits my needs. I still don't understand how it works, all I want is to write a post and that it's preview will be showed automatically, and that a new post will push the others left and down. I'm not sure the repeaters are doing that. Here is a screenshot of my main pages (how it looks now):
When you click on each one of the boxes, you will enter into the post (the screenshot is just a part of the post which can be very long):
thank you for offering that:)
Shlomit
@Shlomit Robert's site is a great example of using repeaters/galleries with blog data. Here is a link :)
You don't need to use the existing design of the repeaters. Just take one of them, design it the way you like, and then you can connect the blog data into it so all of the posts that you created will automatically populate the repeater.
If you are satisfied with the layout design and you have an ordering issue - it is something else. Currently the posts are ordered by the publish date, so new posts will be shown first. Did you find any bug with the posts order?
Hi @Maya Ekron Can you point us to some more information (e.g. tutorials or descriptions, etc.) about linking repeaters and blog data? That sounds like potentially a great fit for my needs.
@holly Would you like me to create a tutorial on how to do this?
Unless you know of one out there you can just link to, that would be incredible!
Doesn't seem like changes have been made since 2018 or even before. How do we get around adding all these things we want without wix's help? It's 2020 and I am launching soon. I am working with marketing experts and seems like wix is limiting our analytics tracking for bookings, important blogging features etc.
Agreed, there needs to be more flexibility with the customization!!!!!!!!!
Hello @Blue Hills Wealth Management,
Could you elaborate on what customization options are you missing? We'd appreciate any feedback you can provide.
