How do you add a link to a blog menu on the posts tab?

Hello,

I am new to this blogging stuff. I have been trying to put a link on my blog menu above my posts tab but cannot seem to do it. It keeps sending me to the home page.

How can you actually make a link without it showing up on your page menu when you are trying to link something?
