Hello,
I'd like to create a pillar page covering a master topic wherein I link to cluster pages (which I link back to the pillar page) expanding on subtopics.
So, could I do this on my blog by creating multiple posts (one of the pillar page and one for each cluster I have) or I should create new pages (i.e. outside of my blog page) instead? Thanks,
Antonio
hey @Vilma Sliurpaite , many thanks for following up! that's very helpful! :)
Hey @Antonio Salituro
Thanks for the info 😊 I had to double check with other team and your are correct - it could be a comprehensive very long blog post in which you would link text to other posts in your blog. It doesn't have to be a separate page outside your blog. For linking pillar page to posts you can use hyperlinking (just copy-paste post URL). Also, you can have a look here https://www.wix.com/blog/2021/03/blog-post-templates/#viewer-4h3u9 post template no. 4 pillar page. Let me know if that helps 😊
hi @Vilma Sliurpaite Please see link below explaining what a pillar page is. Hope it helps. :) https://terakeet.com/blog/pillar-page/#:~:text=Definition-,A%20pillar%20page%20is%20a%20high%2Dlevel%20piece%20of%20content,cluster%20pages%20like%20individual%20chapters. Not sure if categories would help with that? Anyway, my understanding is that the pillar page is a comprehensive page (I guess it could be a blog post?) which then links to subpages, the so-called clusters (which I guess they could be other blog posts?). Also, each of the clusters links back to the master (pillar) page. Hope it makes sense? Cheers, Antonio
Hey @Antonio Salituro
What do you mean exactly by creating a pillar page? Would solution with categories work for you?
It would be great if you could give us some more details 😊
