Thanks for the response, Vilma - I've tried what you suggested, but turning off the "Show blog menu" removes the categories, leaving no way for the user to navigate the blog. On the post page it does the same thing, leaving no way for the user to navigate back to the main feed.
Ok, I have a workaround for the post page - I turned off the "Show Menu" button and added a link to get back to the main page. Still working on ideas for the main feed.
Figured out a workaround for the main page, too! It's not perfect, but it'll do. Changed the header scroll to "Freezes" and moved the blog element up until the part I don't want visible is behind the header. Seems to work fine.

Hey,
to remove the bar select mobile view in the Editor. Enable mobile settings and go to 'Blog Menu' section.
And then either disable 'Blog Menu' or remove 'Category labels' depending on which part you would like to remove.
You can adjust the same setting in Post Page as well.
