I'm a bit confused with the whole members area thing. I don't want them to have to sign up!

I'm new to blogging and I just wanted to write some articles on my website and for people to be able to like and comment and share them. I DO NOT want them to have to log in to a members area to be able to read my blog. I see a few posts asking about this and wix said they would change it, well those posts were 3 years ago now, so now I'm confused.

When setting up the blog, i chose the option for blog and not blog and members area, yet on my site there is quite clearly a log in area. I already have a group with members in, so don't want a blog group too. Why is there a log in button if I've chose just the blog option? Is it possible to just have a blog with articles and not the faff of signing up? Please can someone help! I seem to be going round in circles here. thanks
