I'm trying to help a nonprofit clean up their media gallery. The gallery has many duplicated images. Some duplicates have the same file name (e.g. PicA, PicA) located in different folders in the gallery; some have different file names (e.g. PicC, PicD). I need to know which of the duplicates is being utilized (if any) on the website, so I can delete the ones that are not being used and free up space. I'm concerned about deleting a pic and finding out I needed it after all, especially if it may have been slightly edited. Any ideas for an efficient way to ID images in use on our site? I tried renaming one in the gallery, but the file name doesn't show up in the editor. I tried adding alt text in the editor, but that doesn't show up in the gallery. Both of these is highly inefficient anyway. I'm new at Wix and open to suggestions for a user friendly solution!

For the issue you are facing, unfortunately, Wix doesn't have a built-in feature to definitively identify which images are actively used on the website's pages and posts.
so the best approach would be to contact Wix Support directly. They would not only identify the real issue but also give you the best resolution method.
Here's the link for it: https://support.wix.com/en/
