Has anyone else experienced this? I run a taxi industry news site (www.taxi-point.co.uk) that is indexed on Google News and appears on other news aggregators like Apple News, Flipboard and Microsoft News to name a few. We have traffic of over 1million users each year.
We started using the New Wix blog in October 2019 and last week we set about migrating our older stories, pre-October 2019, on to the New blog.
All the stories moved across, however... ALL stories, including New blog ULRs, have had a redirect placed onto them back to the Old blog that no longer exists. Every one of our 6,000+ articles are now 404 errors.
We are now SIX days into trying to speak to Wix to gather some understanding of a fix and what we can do short-term, but we’ve had nothing and don‘t want to seem to discuss options put to them. Our SEO rating is taking a hammering after three years of hard graft as we simply can not stem the traffic redirecting to a 404.
Has anyone had this issue and how did you over come it? Advertisers are starting to pull at a time when we can ill afford it and the support from Wix, given it was their problem, has been poor at best.
Help!
I have the same issue. Which thread has the solution?
Hey, it seems that we already resolved this issue in separate thread. Let me know if you need further help!
