Hi there, hoping someone can advise.
I've been trying to discover if subscribers to my site are receiving email notifications about new blog posts - I've added my own email address to the list and no emails seem to be coming through...
I've followed all the instructions I can find here in terms of ensuring that in the Blog settings the button is selected to allow subscribers to receive email notifications, yet nothing seems to happen.
Help!
Contact them directly...be polite and explain problem...they can usually get it fixed in 24-48 hrs (except weekends) - the folks at Wix are mostly young and enthusiastic - and trying to do right by the world
Hi, sadly I have the same problem. The toggle is on, yet no one is receiving notifications. Blog URL is https://adindawisse.wixsite.com/blog
Thank you for the information. That is infuriating. among us
My subscribers also aren't getting email notifications when I publish a new post on my website. The URL of my website is: https://www.domenicsreviews.com/
This happens occasionally...and they usually sort it out (takes a few days sometimes); more troubling is that the alert email sent from WIX is never received by subscribers. I've followed all the steps they recommend to get the alert recognized as non-spam by Google, Earthling, Yahoo email clients...to no avail.
Still an ongoing issue. My last few posts have not resulted in notifications being received by active subscribers. The one before last did eventually arrive many hours late. This was after I had contacted Wix and so am unsure whether it was as a result on this or because of some massive latency in the system.
Made a new post yesterday (www.bygoneboozers.co.uk) and still waiting for notifications to be received. Contacted Wix and the issue has been escalated. Presumably that means that someone with slightly more skills on the IT front might get around to looking at it at some point. Ten hours later and nothing has happened – not even a message to say that someone's actually looking into it.
I don't have many subscribers and am getting to the stage where I might just set about manually emailing folk. It would certainly use up less of my time.
similar problems from May 8th and early July: https://www.wix-blog-community.com/blog/share-your-blog/notifications-for-new-blog-posts-not-being-sent-to-active-subscribers - in that post someone suggests contacting Support directly - and some instructions for how to do so. But this is an ongoing issue with WIX...also, just because a notification gets sent out does not mean the subscribers actually receive it. Why? It seems because the WIX email/notification goes out to many people (and many bloggers use this option), WIX get labeled as a spammer by a lot of ISPs. For example, I (and my wife) don't even get the notification from WIX...from our own site! My ISP (earthlink) sees it as spam and deletes it even before it reaches our Spam folder...we don't even have the option of "allowing" the email from WIX to come to our Inbox (or even Spam folder). This happens with many ISPs for a variety of reasons (even Google mail will block it). So your subscriber often will not even know a new post is available...
Yes...same problem here (www.BirdingBob.com) - this has happened in the past (last time about April)...and seems to happen when a new feature/update occurs. The folks at WIX eventually catch up to the problem...but can be (unfortunately) amiss when it comes to acknowledging the problem and/or responding to inquiries such as yours (and I filed one on 23 July...and posted here in Discussion forum as well).
Hello, I am having this problem as well. Can someone please assist? My site is: https://www.miss-adventures.blog/
And I do have subscriber notifications turned on. Thanks!
Hi there,
I am having the same issue, my last blog (1 March) triggered the email fine (although it seemed to land in everyone's junk folder) but the blog I published this morning (specifically for Mother's Day here in the UK) triggered nothing...Myself, my husband, my mum and my friends are on my subscribers and no one has it anywhere. Any ideas?
Best wishes,
Gemma

Victoria - I'd open a support ticket with them. Have them look at the settings on your web site - they sent me a bunch of helpful updates to settings I did not know even existed - since I did not design my site, I only use it to send out content. Once I made those updates, more people starting receiving my blog post alerts...not everyone but it did help a little.
I am also having this issue. my setting are correct. No email is being sent, not in any folder or spam or junk.
support ticket at Wix - they host your blog correct? That is the only way you might get some help. They will first send you back a "form" response over what to look for that is causing problems (why your blog alerts/notifications of a new blog post) are not being received by subscribers. But those bullet suggestions they send you are not the problem...If you read the posts here on the Board, many people are having similar problems. These need to be addressed on a higher level - for example: Wix sends out a group email once every couple weeks or so to all its users to upgrade to a more expensive plan. I receive that with no problems...but why can't I even receive the Notification of a new blog post - from my own web site at Wix? My ISP (Earthlink) just deletes it before I even know I have it...in fact that alert does not even make it to my spam folder...
Today I (twice) tried to publish a new blog entry. BOTH times, Wix did not even send out the alert to anyone...
So the issue you bring up is an ongoing one and people post about it on and off...Again, the problem is with Wix - they have nice people there who usually politely answer emails - but getting things fixed is another matter.
Thanks for the reply, did you mean a support ticket at Wix or Wiz?
Hi Marc - if it is any consolation, I just published my weekly Blog post (twice) - and neither was even sent out by Wix to my subscribers. This you can check bu opening a Subscribers info and seeing if they received an "email campaign." Anyway, what I recommend is opening a "support ticket" with the web site people at Wiz and asking them to look into your problem. You'll probably not hear from them for a day or two...but they should respond. Now whether they can fix the problem many of us are having with their "new" blog - that is another matter. BUT at least might get some attention - and perhaps they can solve the problem.
I need help. My subscribers are not receiving Blog Post notifications.

Yes this happens to many of us. The email alert sent via WIX to your members/subscribers is seen by most ISPs (including Gmail; Earthlink and others) is seen as SPAM...probably because it is a group email going out to many people (just like a spammer sends out his/her email). I've written about this...and others have as well. It seems to me (a) WIX is not really interested in the Blog section of their site - look at the way they "dumbed" it down in the latest iteration introduced over the last year. Just the basics...and (b) WIX needs to certify that these new Blog post alerts that get sent out to subscribers - that it is not spam...It (the alert) has to have some sort of "badge" or "ticket" that shows the receiving ISP that the alert is coming from an approved (non-spammer) site (Wix) - think of all the email alerts you successfully receive from Yahoo groups...Wix needs to get approval on the web for what it allows its members (you, me and others) to send out to our subscribers. Because right now, you don't know if your site members receive anything from you...because they don't know! The ISPs often just junk the incoming alert as SPAM - so your subscriber does not even know he/she received anything...Your Blog Alert (via Wix) does not even go into the subscribers junk mail box...The email from Wix just never gets there at all! So what can we do? Complain nicely I suppose...but good luck getting attention or someone to work on your problem. You really have to be a "Squeaky Wheel" - nonetheless you will continue to get emails from Wix to upgrade to a more expensive plan (don't do it!) - those emails from Wix somehow manage to come through no matter how hard I try to block them.
None of my subscribers (including myself) are receiving email notifications when I publish a new blog. I've checked my spam and promotions folders. I've even updated the sender address so that it comes from my website's contact email alias.
My URL is www.truehealthjules.com
The problem with WIX emails/newsletters/blog posts that are sent to a number of subscribers via your Web Site is that ISPs often see these group emails as Spam. The intended receiver does not even know there is an alert from you the author for him/her. In other words, the email alert sent to the subscriber through WIX is filtered out (deleted) before it even reaches the subscriber's mail box (not even junk mail box!). I've told WIX about this problem...but they do not respond - it is not a concern of theirs. But yes I understand your problem and worry...I have the same problem for many of my 2,500+ subscribers: they do not even know I have sent them something because their ISP or email program (including gmail) filters my notification via WIX out before it reaches them. In some cases it has to do with security settings the person has. BUT in MOST situations, the group email I send is seen as SPAM. Indeed, I don't even get a notification from Wix (my ISP is earthlink) that I send to myself via Wix...despite my pleading with Earthlink...despite my checking all the boxes allowing notifications from WIX to come through to me...
Expect no help from Wix. But please complain - it might wake someone up there at Wix. On the other hand, you will continually get the offers to upgrade to even more expensive plans that offer no meaningful benefit except more money to wix...
