I'm quite frustrated that despite numerous conversations with the Wix blog team in the old forum, where I thought some understanding was reached, Wix blog keep building solutions that make no sense to me.
For example, the permissions model for the blog. Which user asked you to build this (see the picture below) as the solution for new writers on a community site? Certainly not me. It is impractical for a community site. I suspect no-one asked for this. In fact, I can't think of any situation on any type of blog where this works.
The above solution won't work because on a community site I don't know the writers. Anyone can apply to post to a wix blog site. So once I approve a request any spammer can go ahead and spam the site.
A manual approval before the user posts probably wont stop spamming.
I don't understand how approving members will help combat spam. I don't know the people joining my site, I will only know if they are posting spam when they actually start posting spam. That's why I said before we need an option to approve the first posts by new members to verify them that way.
Back in December 2017, you agreed with me that post approval would be required, but you seem to have forgot that conversation and just built in email address approval.
Please describe to me a scenario where this new email address control you've added helps with anything whatsoever. Because I don't understand how it helps with anything.
This is all despite numerous lengthly forum threads where I, and many others, were trying, in vain, to get you to agree a useable permissions model on Wix blog:
We are going around in circles. You keep building bad solutions that no-one has asked for, wasting my time and your development resources.
I've asked before, and I'll ask again, please ask the users before you code bad solutions.
