I migrated my old blog to new blog, however all the posts have an identical author. WIX allows me to name the author initially but then uses the same for all posts. The way we have worked on old blog is multiple writers will email the article to admin and admin will post / publish it live selecting the correct author name. Is there a way to set individual author names while migrating? (www.contrawiz.com - still with old format, but migration work in progress)
Thanks very much
Hi!
Thank you for contacting! Author in the new blog must be a site contributor. On the old blog you had 2 authors - you and Niranjan K. As I can see, Niranjan already invited you to become a site contributor. You have to open received email and accept invitation. Then you will be able to assign posts to different authors and become an author.
After you will accept invitation, you can change author here:
1. In the New Blog go to post editor
2. Click Post Settings
3. Select who you want to re-assign the post to from the Author drop-down menu.
4. Save & Publish.
You can follow this link to read more how to change post author:

I hope this will help to solve your problem.
If any additional questions arise, don't hesitate to contact us. We are more than happy to help!
Alright, thanks Julius for a quick response. I think I already accepted the invite (came thru via email), couldn't find option to select in between authors. Will try it out again as you suggested, as the newer blog appear to be great.
On another note, updates on desktop don't seem to reflect through to the mobile version very conveniently. I seem to have introduced multiple layers within the header within the mobile version ( the left side panel with some ad-ons have automatically become part of the header!) ... I guess its just trial and error getting the mobile view perfect (?)
Also are Wix desktop websites responsive? I read some articles explaining how certain elements are but not the entire site. Kindly elaborate. Thanks again.
We are happy to hear you liked our new blog.
Can you give me more details about your problem with the mobile? Can you provide a screenshot of the elements that became part of the header?
Wix websites are not fully responsive as most of the elements use absolute positioning. Although we have some elements that are responsive, for example blog feed, gallery, strip, which can be set full width and respond to screen size.
Great thanks! I have managed to sort out the problem with mobile, actually hid the left side panel from mobile (so not showing ads upfront) in the new blog. Using 50/50 A/B testing for now to see the response in production. Thanks.
On another note, I am working on the "Privacy Policy" for Contrawiz. Is there a standard 'Policy' that WIX provides as a template for usual Blogs businesses? All the info we are collecting at this stage is Email addresses and that too is used for auto-emails if any posts get generated on the blog. We might send promotional emails in future.
I am specifically curious about host server for my website, so Cookies related data. Where does it get stores? I/team are based in India so we physically work from our desktops in India. Would the cookie data be based on our desktops or else WIX host servers presumably located somewhere else? Can you please clarify on this.
Many thanks.
Hi! Great that you found and fix a problem with the heading.
Please find this support article helping to create a privacy policy document. I hope it will help.
Wix has servers all over the world as well as back up servers. It depends on your visitors' location from where your site will be loaded. What regards to cookies, they are stored locally on your visitors computers. Here you can find more information about Wix cookies.
Thanks, yes read these links earlier and picked some relevant statements as suggested here. Have a couple of versions of privacy policy in review. Will publish probably over the weekend as it gets ready. I suppose until the viewership grows we should be fine, the real problem/check will be when more and more people start noticing and a community starts to develop via comments etc. (Happy position to be in). For now we are good.
We are going to make it extensive and will relook over a period of time with increased viewership and additinal products/services offered and any marketing efforts should the current version not suffice. Many thanks.
