I can't believe I'm having to ask for this but here we are (currently very frustrated). We NEED undo/redo buttons within the blog app.
According to Wix support whom I've been on the phone to for over 30mins, it is impossible to undo while editing so, if like me you accidentally delete a whole chunk of your work, there is no undo button to retrieve it. No, ctrl+z does not work. Yes, in the editing phase of a blog app.
Wix support say there is no way to access a previous version of your unpublished post and although it has been escalated to a specialist team, there is little hope of retrieval. Undoing an error shouldn't be this complicated and there's a very simple fix - undo/redo buttons.
I am crying my eyes out and are soooooooooooooo so disappointed in Wix!!!!!!! I pay through my nose to get premium subscriptions and then they do not even have plans to do anything about an undo button in the blog version while you are still composing your blog. I see people complaining about this for ages but still nothing has been done about it.
Literally, by accident, my keybord highlighted my whole blog and then when I started typing MY WHOLE BLOG DISAPPEARED IN FRONT OF ME!!! It then saved it immediately. AND THERE IS NO WAY OF GETTING ANYTHING BACK!! I cannot even see through my tears as I am typing this. It took me a full 2 days to compile the blog post of more than 2 500 words. And its just gone in 1 second!!!!!!!!
I cannot begin to tell you how I feel about this. I am new to wix. I have managed to built a beautiful website in 2 months. And on the web itself there is an undo button. So I just assumed that there would be one in the blog section as well. It does not give ANY warning whatsoever that this is the case when you start typing your blog. I did not even have a backup of the blog as it saved everything the whole time that I was typing. It thus made me feel very safe using the platform. Until this has happened.
FOR GOOODNESS SAKE WIX!!! TIME IS MONEY AND I CANNOT AFFORD TO LOOSE 2 DAYS OF WORK BECAUSE OF SUCH A SMALL THING THAT CAN SURELY BE SOLVED ON YOUR PART. IT JUST LOOKS LIKE IT IS NOT A PRIORITY FOR YOU. AND THIS COMES ACCROSS AS YOU NOT CARING ABOUT YOPUR CUSTOMERS AT ALL~!!!!!!!~!!!
