The phrase social distancing has taking on a life of it's own in particular to our global state of Coronavirus (or known by it's street name COVID-19).
Did you know the first recorded evidence of social distancing was in ancient Egypt in 4000 BC. The Egyptians built elaborate bathrooms inside the pyramids, on the floors of these ancient lavs where markers roughly 5 cubit apart pointing away from the loo.....one can only speculate why, modesty or maybe privacy.
In the year 1295, the kingdoms of Scotland and France formed the Auld Alliance, which is believed to be the beginnings of the first social distancing alliance against England. Apparently the English had some really annoying habits such as slurping their food and not picking up there dog's poop while walking there dog...I think France defiantly came out ahead...
And finally in 1855 the first bridge over the Mississippi River opened ushering in a new era for the US state of Minnesota. Over concerns of construction and high use, the state legislator passed a law stating that all cattle, horse drawn buggies and pedestrians must be spaced every six feet apart....apparently this was the first time social distancing was used in the United States..
As we all know social distancing (also know by it's stage name physical distancing), is when you keep at least a two metre perimeter between yourself and others loitering about in public spaces. Social distancing is proven to be one of the most effective ways to reduce the spread of illness and other stuff...
This was fun!!..
