Hello,
how to change the language of the Date, reading time, like counters and comments counters ?
It appears in another language that is not English.
I tried to double check and seems in all my setting my language is English, attached the picture , i circled where it is in another language !
Thanks
Hi Vanessa,
have you checked specifically Blog settings?
To edit your language settings:
Click the Wix Blog app in the Editor.
Click Settings.
Click the Setting tab.
Select a language from the Language drop-down list.
Hope this helps!
Hey, I don't have the feature to change language from here, what do I do?
@zenon2545 Hi, the option to change the language is in your site business manager (settings --> general info --> regional settings)
Thanks so much :)
I have changed my blog settings to not show the blog author name. But old posts and new posts still show the author name. Can you explain why?
Thanks,
John
Hi Johnince,
thanks for reporting, we are looking into this and I'll update you once it is fixed.
More than a handful of us requested this over 8 months ago and still nothing….
Can you please add the feature to be able to change the mobile font and overall blog element sizes for mobile view.
The current design must be for a blind person…The mobile blog font and element sizes are way too big, and ruin the experience. You don’t see any other app (facebook, twitter etc) using huge element and font sizes. It’s wrecking the UX….
Can you please let me know if this is even being currently worked on, or will it take another year?
Hello,
How do i add social sharing buttons on my blog posts? I want vistors to be able to share my post on their social media pages like Facebook, Twitter or WhatsApp the link.
Thank you,
Hi,
there are 2 entry points for your visitors to share the blog post (same on web and mobile):
1) either through 3 dots menu:
2) or using the icons at the bottom of the post:
Sharing via WhatsApp is not possible, but we're adding your request to the features Wishlist.
@Simona Griskute Can the sharring be disabled?
@charles.neff
We are working on allowing to disable social share options, as for now it is not possible.
Can we not use the new blog to do the feature post slideshow? That's on my site right now and is the one reason I do not want to switch to the new blog.
downtownrams.com
@Jake Ellenbogen At the moment there is no slideshow layout in the new blog, but your vote has been added to the features Wishlist.
Good feature. Please add "Category" also in the list.
Thanks, added!
Hello, I am now working on my new website. Is that anyway I can delete the "log in to leave a comment" in my post page? It is on my every single post pages, not the post feed pages.
Hi @Zhou Jason,
you can disable the comments section for each individual post now, but can't add another comments solution.
In the near future it will be possible to disable the Wix comments system for all the posts and use third parties providers instead. Next we'll add flexibility into the Wix comments system itself allowing to comment without sign-up.
Hello @Simona Griskute,
Thank you for replying. How can we disable the comments section for each post? I did not find the selection while editing my pages.
@Zhou Jason Please refer to this support article: https://support.wix.com/en/article/turning-commenting-off-or-on-for-posts-in-the-new-wix-blog
Hi,
It's my first time to create a blog in Wix. I tried many times to hide some features in the post but nothing happened. Please kindly show me how to fix it.
Thank you.
Hi Rian,
welcome to Wix Blog Community!
Please just remove and add checkmarks again and this should fix the issue. If it is not a case, please write to Wix customer support by support@wix.com.
I don't understand how the name is chosen. Here are several examples.
Compare Jocelyne and Francine for example.
How to choose the author name that will be seen in a post ?
Thanks
Daniel
Hi @daniel.gourdellier,
you can change the author of the post in the Business manager-->Blog:
Hi Simona,
I know how to change the author name, but see my list of names in this pop-up :
How the editor chooses that the name is "jocelyne", not "jocelyne.fonlupt", but the name is "francine.wintsch", not "francine" ?
why "mireilletoussaint", not "mireille" or "toussaint"
why "a.panine", not "astrid"
Look at my previous post with six detailed pictures and tell me from those examples how the name is chosen in each case.
Thank you
Daniel
Hi,
The only way to change the author name that appears on the dropdown is like Simona explained - the authors need to go to the blog manager and edit their name from there (or from the live site, if you are using members area). We are not using the regular first name and last name fields that you can see on your screenshots.
