Attention bloggers! In our latest update, we’ve incorporated some of the great feedback you’ve shared with us into a whole pack of new and exciting features. We’ve also made improvements on a few classics (oh you thought we were done with the post list, did you?). All in all, this update’s a big one, packed full of shiny features you need to make the blogging experience smoother and faster.

Yes, Tags are Here!
We’re thrilled to release the new tag feature. Now you can attach tags to your posts and display them at the end of the post page. This way, readers can easily find your other posts with similar topics.
Always wanted to sort your posts by a keyword, but don’t want to make a separate category? Tags solve that issue for you.
Tags are an easy way to organize your posts beyond the category level. Think of them as keywords to help your readers filter your posts by topic, and find one that catches their interest.
You can add tags to any blog post when you’re writing or editing a post. Simply click on Tags in the sidebar and type in a word or phrase to add it. Once you publish the post, you’ll see your tags appear below the post.
Since we know you love customizing, we’ve also made it easy to change how your tags appear at the end of your post. Under Post Page > Settings > Design > Tags, fine-tune the color, font and style. You can display them as buttons or as simple text.
Show Off Your Tags in a Tag Cloud
To go with your shiny, new tags, we’ve also added the brand-new Tag Cloud! This groups all your tags together in a collection that you can put anywhere on your site. Any tags you’ve created and attached to at least one published post will appear here. Now it’s a breeze for your readers to find any topic that interests them, fast. Make those tags work for you!
More Post List Layouts, Please
You got ‘em! The beautiful post list that we just released last month is getting two new layouts. Now you can show off your posts in Magazine or Side-by-Side layouts and customize them to look more spectacular than ever.
Cover Image Fit
There’s now an additional option to display your entire cover image as a thumbnail in the blog feed and post list. Before, you only had the option to crop all cover images the same according to a specific aspect ratio--but now, feel free to display the entire image in all of its unaltered glory.
Just click on “Fit” under Settings > Layout > Image resizing to show each post’s cover image.
Modify Your Author List
We’ve now organized the info about you and your author list under Blog Settings. Now it’s easier than ever to change your author name or invite other writers to your site, all in one place.
Add an Author to Your Author List
Last but not least is another addition to Blog Settings, adding an author to your author list. Simply type in the name of any person you want to credit as the author of a post or posts. They’ll be added to your author list, and you can select them as an author while writing your post.
Unlike regular blog writers, authors you add here won’t have any permissions on your site, and they won’t be able to log in as writers. This is handy if you want to attribute a post to an author without giving them access to your dashboard or post editor.
Got a famous writer who wrote a guest post?
Or a roster of writers you want to credit but don’t want to clutter up your dashboard?
Add and edit them here!
We’re listening - let us know what you think
