So from what I can tell, you still haven't fixed the "comment on a comment" feature. Right now, when a reader leaves a comment, I can't reply to them personally. I have to create a whole new comment. In turn, every other person who has commented gets a new comment email notice, which is only written for that one person. And so they unsubscribe from that post entirely. Good going, Wix!
Please stop fixing and adding things that no one cares about and FIX THIS. Countless people, including me, have been asking for this for well over a year REPEATEDLY on this blog, which DOES have the "reply to a reply" feature, because obviously YOU want to keep your blog comments organized, right? What about us?
And don't you dare tell me to put this on your damn Wish List. This should be a basic Blog 101 feature. I don't make good use of my blog because this feature is lacking. Disgusted.
Comment on Comment will make blog post engagement much more attractive. I see more interest on my Forum because people are able to comment on comment. On the blog is not possible. Even the order of comments are somehow wrong sorted and people cannot track the comment thread. There were considerable improvements in the Wix Blog though. Hope that these need will be higher in the priorities of the product management team.
hi @maryannfarley118, thanks for reaching out! I'm sorry, we cannot offer this feature at the moment. I suggest to try 3rd party commenting apps as a temporary solution until we will have it. Several comments apps are available in the Wix app market. Disqus - another good alternative. You can find short instructions for Disquss here.
I hope this helps.
Don't hold your breath, Venko. If you scour the various blog threads about this "Comment on Comment" feature, you'l see many people frustrated with the lack of this feature, with heated inquiries starting over a year ago. Every blog I have ever used, going back to the early days of Blogger fifteen years ago has had this ability to comment on a comment. The fact that Wix doesn't have it is a serious detriment to their web-building tools.
Had I known it was so lacking, I would have chosen a different web builder, but I have done too much work with my site as this point to change. That said, if it is not resolved within six months or so, I will migrate someplace else, as other web builders are getting easier and more beautiful all the time. The lack of engagement on my blog is a serious detriment to the overall goal of my web site.
@Julius Seskevicius I am having a play with it. As far as I can see we still have the same problem with images.
In the blog page I make the header image 16:9 to view correctly on the post and social network sharing. If I use 'Editorial' view, the larger I make the image, the more the width gets chopped. Which means you can lose the most important part of the image if it isn't central to the picture.
Yes, I can make the image 16:9 in the feed, but you lose the impact and the view becomes mainly text.
The option to have 2 posts wide in editorial like the tiled effect I feel is the way to go.
My site is a busy news site. The blog is my homepage, so the staggered option looks messy for me. I want it to look stylish with the wow factor, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hope the feedback helps.
@Sandra Harvey First of all, your site is really clean and general impression is very positive! Regarding image ratio, I believe you should test which image ratio brings most value. You can do simple experiment of having your cover image set 4:3 or 1:1 and compare what is the difference in traffic / views / shares you get. The ability to have to have a control over cover image for aspect ratio for social sharing will be available once we integrate with more advanced SEO tools.
Thank you @Simonas Mačiulis, over 90% of our hits are from mobiles via our social media links. I do feel Wix In general and the blog team put too much emphasis on web view rather than mobile. Trying to find the right ratio on header photos to fit social media, web, mobile and post feeds is difficult.
I look forward to more advance SEO tools happening hopefully very soon.
I want the ability to organize my draft posts in the order of my choosing...
Why are you replying to my post? Your query has nothing to do with this thread.
I think it was just a mistake. 🙂
Sorry I didn’t mean to reply to your post I was trying to reply to the op, who obviously works for wix because it is very hard to have my questions answered...
Missing images in the New Customisation Layout of the Blog Feed
I just noticed a strange behavior related to the Customisation Layout of the Blog Feed. For some reason, the images that used to appear in the Magazine or Side-by-Side layout, are not visible anymore. During the editing phase everything looks OK. After publishing the site though, the images disappear. Anybody experiencing a similar behavior?
Hi @Daniel Moldovan,
I apologise for the late response. Please share your site details to blog.feedback@wix.com We will investigate and will get back to you.
Thanks!
Hey, great improvement.
Could you please allow control of vertical spacing between "title image" - "date" - "title" - "Description".
It seems to be locked at 40px and its a bit too high for my taste. Probably works for some people but would be very nice to be able to control this height.
hi @Johann, thanks for suggestion. I will add this to a wish list.
Is there a way to change the ratio of the Side by Side layout for individual pages? I've found the settings options to do it for posts on my blog's home page and for the category feed but not for the pages I've set up. It's stuck at 50/50.
Thanks.
Hey!
You can use the post list widget, side by side layout, which has option to set the image ratio.
@Julius Seskevicius That's great! Thanks so much. I'd like all of my posts to be displayed on the page but it looks like 50 is the maximum I can have. Do you know if there's a way around it?
Thanks again.
