Hello! Is it possible to reserve a specific category (ex. premium) for paid plans members? Hope it will be available soon! Please refer to my website for more information: https://www.xtrarecipes.com
You can create a category of free posts, and add the blog custom feed to your site pages assigning posts of this free category to be displayed. In this case all visitors could click on the post and read it, but it they want to access blog posts of other categories, they won't be able to do that (all blog will be restricted to paid members only).
Could you please give more context on the goal you are trying to reach? What is your idea? What do you aim to do? I would love to have a quick call and go over your needs. Please email to blog.feedback@wix.com and we'll agree on the convenient time. Thanks!
Hello Simona, thank you for your quick response! I'm French so I will try to make myself understood as best as I can and write everything without grammatical mistakes. So, that I wish to do is simple: I wish to have a blog with free categories and "premium" categories (that requires a paid plan), OR, free posts and premium posts > For example, you are in the "all posts" section, and, you want to access to a specific post:
- If the post is free, ok, no problem to access to it;
- If the post requires a paid plan, then no access to it if you don't have the paid plan.
Your solution is nice, but if I give the url address (http...) of the post to anyone, the person should directly access to the "premium" post without any restriction.
So what I propose to do is to have just an option on the post control panel that allows us to choose if the post requires a paid plan or not (for example : public access or access reserved to paid plan members, administrators, moderators...)
I will send you an email tomorrow. It should be nice to have a French speaker on the line :) Have a nice day and thank you for your time!
@Simona Griskute As discussed by phone, it should be nice to have :)
- The possibility to choose a/various post(s) and/or categor(y/ies) with free or premium access using the paid plans functionality ;
- The possibility to set "writers only" or other rules on some categories an not on all ;
- A new application interface to have a desktop view, a mobile view and also our own app on the Google Play Store and App Store (with our own logo on the mobile screen and not the wix logo)
Also:
- Fix the blank space under the footer in some pages
- Have similar functionalities as the forum app
- Have the possibility to reduce the size of the text in the mobile view (blog page)
Thank you very much again for your call, interest and attention! Have a very nice day.
it was a pleasure speaking to you too. Thank you for sharing all the behind the scenes of your project and site creation, as well as detailing your needs for the paid Blog options. This is of great value for us when developing the Blog.
I promised to send the recommendation for settings to make the mobile version of your website look great:
Font: Helvetica Light
Title Front Size: 16
Description Front Size: 12

Hi @dimitri.worldwide,
thanks for the inquiry. As for now you can restrict the access to paid plan members only to the full blog page. Please read here more: https://support.wix.com/en/article/creating-members-only-pages-596999
However, there is a solution other way around.
