I'm currently working on Tech News Website and I'm using my custom header instead of the standard Wix Blog Header. Everything is working perfectly, the only issue is that I wish to add a button that allows me to do the same search as if I clicked it from the standard Wix Blog header. if you add the search from the app market, unfortunately it won't search among Blog posts.
However, we're planning the integration in the future.
You can do the search with wix code. The link https://www.wix-blog-community.com/blog/discussions/create-your-own-blog-search-with-wix-code. Other live example of semi-integration with search app can be found on www.loginsystems.biz. Try to search by clicking on the header and then continue the search within the blog posts.
