I have a blog on my site, however, I'd like for the blogs to open in a new page when clicked on or when a link is shared. Instead, it is opening on my home page and the reader must know to scroll all the way down to read the blog. I'm afraid potential readers will not know to do that and will leave the site. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, what was your solution? Thanks!
Hi @jacobsduvall, thank you for posting your needs. Your request has been included in the features Wishlist.
Yep, this is a problem I am trying to figure out as well. Such a bummer.
Hi @Hossein Samuel, could you please clarify if you intend to open the blog post in the new browser tab when clicked on it in the feed? Please also share your site URL so I could better advise.
@Simona Griskute Thanks for the reply. I was able to resolve the issue however. I only needed to designate a new home page that was not the blog, allowing the blog to have a page all its own. Pretty quick customer service though. Thanks
I also have the same problem. I always need to inform my readers on social media, that they need to scroll below to read the blog. Still have not figured out how to solve it..
Hi,
as @Hossein Samuel shared, you can make the blog to have its own page. Please contact Wix customer support at support@wix.com for specific assistance.
@Simona Griskute I already did that, but the visitors still see the home page and need to scroll down.
@info Please share your site URL so we could check ;)
This might not be the best solution but if this was going to make or break my blog I would do the following.
Go the your Blogs Post's page
Copy the URL of that specific Blog Article
Go into the WIX Editor
Add a button that has no text and is completely transparent
Add that button on top of the article, (On the Blog Page)
This is by no means a "Correct Solution" but it works...Simply right click that button and link it to the Article's URL. Add one attribute when button is clicked open "New Window"
When user clicks a specific article it would open the article in a new window.
OR I have a weird feeling I have no idea what your talking about
