I'm looking to use the blog as portfolio which is a hybrid between posts hosted on the blog itself and links to articles of mine that are hosted on other sites. So is there a way for me to set up a post that will just forward the reader to the other site where the article is being hosted?

interesting case. Making redirect from the blog feed post to the post on another site is not possible as for now, but your request has been added to the features Wishlist. As for now you could add the link to your article to the post text or copy-paste the post from another platform here on Wix Blog.
