New: Related Posts & Video Settings

Hello Bloggers!

We’re excited to announce the new Related Posts feature. Now you can pick up to 3 posts to display below any post!

Why add related posts?

Related posts are a great way to keep readers on your blog and engaged with your content.

For example, if you write a series of gear reviews, you can use the Related Posts feature to make it easy for readers to find similar content.

How to do it:

  1. First, go to the Editor > Post Page Settings

  2. Go to Post > Display > Related Posts

  3. Make sure “Show related posts” is toggled on. You can also choose to show a label above your Related Posts.

So now you’ve toggled on your posts. Next, you can go into each individual post and choose up to 3 related posts to show below in the post page.

  1. Go to the post editor in Dashboard > Blog.

  2. Click Settings > Advanced. You should see a section for Related Posts.

  3. Click +Add Posts to choose up to 3 posts. You can change these anytime.

  4. Now your related posts will show up below your post!

  5. You’ll need to add related posts to each post. If you don’t choose any, your 3 most recent posts will automatically show up.

PLUS! Introducing video settings for the feed

You can now adjust the settings for videos that you use as cover images!

This helps you customize your readers’ experience with your blog feed or post list, helpful if you use a lot of videos as cover images.

How to adjust your video settings:

  1. Go to the Editor.

  2. Go to the Blog Feed (or Post List) settings, and Design > Video Settings.

  3. Here you can choose when videos play: if you hover over the preview with your mouse, if you click on it, or if it plays automatically.

  4. You can also choose if the video plays with sound from your feed. Note that some browsers, like Firefox, may block the sound of a video on autoplay until you click in the browser.

  5. Further down, feel free to adjust the speed of the video, loop videos so they play on repeat, and toggle on the play button.

We’d love to hear your feedback on these features! Let us know what you think in the comments below.
