Hi, I was just going to post about this. This just happened to me too in my blog post - all of my photos on the front page of my blogs suddenly disappeared and I have no idea where they went. I put in that the photos should show up on the main page, but nothing happens. The photos are there when I click on the posts, but they're not showing up on the main page. Did you find that you were able to do anything yet? Maybe this is a major glitch in the system, but it is destroying my front page and it doesn't look good at all.

I don't the "wish list" even exists. It's kind of like the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, or hey, a "reply" button.

Hi Simona, Yes, I've figured out that I can reply to all comments, but I can't reply to individual comments. Honestly, I still think it is a very faulty system, but for my purposes it is fine because my point is to create a larger community within the framework of a small one. But I see that other people are very disappointed that they cannot reply to individual comments and I definitely understand their frustration. I tried using the Comments app, but it was ugly and archaic with its emojis - it's a strange world, technology. Some aspects of it have come a really long way and some have stayed in the past. I don't understand it all, really. I like Wix because I don't have to know any code, but in a way using Wix has inspired me to want to learn code so that I can improve upon the web designing system. What I do appreciate is this forum, so that's a good thing. At least here we can hit the reply button easily and reach a person - it alleviates some of the awful stress of the world. Well, I could be wrong. But why in the world would it take them so long to change something so simple? I have seen the comments on the discussions and there are some people who are being really vigilant about complaining consistently - I guess it is all we can do.

Hi, I wanted to tell you how I ended up fixing my previous problem. As I said, I couldn't find the app in the manage apps. So I went to my history and restored a version of my entire site from yesterday before I messed around with the awful Comments App and put it on my site. Then I published this new "old" restored version and made sure to look for it on Google to see that everything was okay. This worked completely. Thankfully. And for some reason my new comment that I had made was also saved. I think I will just stick with the Wix comments for now because everything else is a raging pain. But I appreciate you communicating with me. It's too bad we can't start some kind of technological revolution around the issue of the reply button on comments - I mean, look at it right here on this blog - "reply" it says, so simple and easy. My current theory is that Wix is probably getting money from both ends - the third party apps and its subscribers, so why change anything? It feels a bit scammy to me, and I wonder why this hasn't hit a wider audience, but I guess in the grand scheme of the world it's really a small thing to worry about. Yet, it causes people who are designing blogs on Wix no end of headache and mental stress. So thank you again, and let me know if you need more explanation about the responding that I did or need any more help. You've really helped me a lot!!

Hi, I did exactly what you said to do but it isn't there in the manage apps section like I thought it would be. I've written the app people who own this so maybe they'll be able to to tell me. In terms of the roundabout way, I went on my site under "live" from the wix editor page. You know when you log in and it says, edit site or look at live site. So I chose "live" and then went to one of my blog posts. I then clicked "log in/sign in" and then signed in through my google mail attached to this site (I purchased the G suite mailbox), so I can choose to sign in as myself. Then I commented and my comment came after the two other comments that were on the page. The main problem with this is that I get an email saying I've done this - stupid - and I'm pretty sure that my other two commenters also get an email showing my comment. But in the grand scheme of things, it's better than nothing. And I've set up my blog to be more of a community space, so that replying in a more general way to people at this point is probably going to work for me. The real issue is that every time I post, EVERY SINGLE PERSON on the comment section is going to get an email about this. Maybe that's okay, considering it is some form of communication but of course it is not ideal. Please let me know if this makes sense because my goal is to help others figure out the crazy nature of how Wix works - I really don't think it's intuitive at all. So if I cannot find the app on the apps site - what do you think I should do? I'm really desperate because the way the comment box is sitting on my site, it looks like total shit. And I've got to get it off. You've been a godsend - thank you so much!

Thank you for responding - Okay, I have another problem and you might be able to help me. I figured out that I can reply in a round about way to my commenters as a whole (obviously not individually in the Wix comments), and I had put the actual Comments app on my blog post, but now in the editor I can't remove it - do you have any idea how I can get it off my site? I don't see it when I'm in editor - only when I am on the live site. I've been in touch with the actual folks at the comment app about other issues, but not this one. Honestly, this is just driving me up the wall. Any suggestions about how to the get the app OFF my site now would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, thank you so much for your reply. I went in and disabled the comments on every single blog post - there doesn't seem to be a central place to do this for the entire blog pages area - and then I was able to put the comments app into my blog posts and that worked. But my next problem is that I can't delete the whopping two comments that I have already in the wix program. My screen just goes dark and nothing happens to the comments themselves. Might you have a solution for this as well? I don't have a problem if the comments go away - I just would like for them to disappear! Thanks so much!

That isn't the point though, is it. It's not that anybody wants comments without a possible sign in - the point is that we want to be able to reply to the people who comment on our site and this is something that Wix is NOT up front about when they tout their services to people - especially those of us who cannot code. I had no idea that I would not be able to respond to someone who has commented on the very material that I am asking them to comment on - I can't even tell them thank you for their support! I can't tell them anything in real time. I had to email the person and let them know - it is bizarre that in 2020 with so much technology available that it is impossible to have a reply function in a basic blog. If I had known this I would have gone with squarespace or wordpress.

hello, this happens to me A LOT with my blog pages. It is extraordinarily frustrating, so I totally understand what you're going through. I find that I have to save the page, and then refresh my entire web page for it to work as before. This is the only way that I can see my work in preview. It is a real problem and I think it must be a glitch in their system.
