Now that Wix has allowed Guest comments without signing up, can the WP import function now include comments??

@Einat Halperin what does that mean? Please clarify the matter of transferring post comments.

It doesn't say that comments are not included in the transfer. Please clarify. "Note: Contact forms, custom plugins, manually inserted code (e.g. HTML, CSS snippets) are not imported."

Simona, while your feedback is encouraging, it unfortunately lands of deaf ears. We keep hearing changes are coming. I'm not aware of any recent updates to the blog as you suggested... please detail. Three of my customers have already moved back to WP, and just recently I learned that Shopify offers a very effective blog (with a user comments moderation panel!), so if Wix expects to be competitive in ecommerce, for example, Wix also needs to provide a top notch blog. That Wix is not willing to provide release dates tells me that no upgrades of any material consequence are on the horizon. Like many on this forum, my business is dependent on the Wix blog being comprehensive, competitive and fully formed. I look forward to a comprehensive array of upgrades to the Wix blog no later than end of Q1... March 30. Yes??

While the old blog will no longer receive updates, I believe it will remain functional.

Three of my clients have gone back to Wordpress. I have serious concerns that Wix itself may be on the ropes.

Unfortunately, I agree with you. I get the impression that Wix is all about graphics and not the basics of navigation and UI. This forum is chock full of desperate user requests for improving the new blog resulting in the standard reply, "we'll add it to the wish list."

Does the migration tool CUT or COPY old blog posts? Is the procedure reversible in the event of errors?

You can, in the Settings menu > Design.

I fully understand that the development issues are challenging. However, imagine that you are a site owner who has spent many thousands of dollars, grassroots marketing and a good dose of viral luck to build a passionate audience? Only to lose all that traction for the sake of changing platforms? It simply won't happen. Ditto Wix's migration feature under development for Wordpress. The latter, in particular, is where Wix could knock it out of the park by attracting the millions of WP users to its platform! I can only urge that your biz dev folks look at this issue more carefully. Thanks.

I have client sites with old blog posts containing dozens, even hundreds, of reader comments. These comments are vital to the site's activity. How do these comments get migrated??
