Agne - part of the problem is that every once and a while, new Wix features (or software updates) derail the notification process (ie., no one receives a notification that a new blog post has been created). You folks usually fix that problem within a few days - Thank You!. HOWEVER, a bigger issue is that many ISPs see that email alert from WIX as spam...and that alert email gets deleted even before reaching the Inbox/Spam Folder (or any folder) of the intended receiver. Yes I know that WIX has a series of steps/protocols to allow the alert emails to get through the ISPs spam filters. BUT I've tried these protocols...they are not easy to follow (instructions are complicated/detailed)...and insofar as I have tried to do exactly what is recommended - the same problem goes on and on. Indeed I'd say 50% of my subscribers don't receive an email alert via WIX that a new blog post is available...

Contact them directly...be polite and explain problem...they can usually get it fixed in 24-48 hrs (except weekends) - the folks at Wix are mostly young and enthusiastic - and trying to do right by the world

The main problem I have (outside of the occasional glitch) is that many of my subscribers do not receive the notification from WIX at all! I have been through all the recommended steps to be verified as a legitimate blogger via Google and others...no luck! I'd estimate of my 3000+ subscribers, at least 50% do not receive the notification from WIX that a new blog post is published. The subscribers don't even get a notification in their "Spam" folder...ISPs automatically delete the notification from WIX without the subscriber ever knowing a WIX notification was sent to them. Is there any way for me to correct this issue?

SOLVED: subscriber had Anti-virus software enabled: "Don't allow opening an external link from an email" Such a setting makes sure that the user does not get an email from a scammer or a malware person and then (by clicking on the link), go to a site that might compromise your computer. So I solved that...No wix app needed

No he is receiving an email from the WIX web site directly...no Wix Spaces involved. Anyway, this happened again today

NO! Why should my readers have to download an app to read my Newsletter? It looks much better on a large screen - and is formatted to be read there - on a monitor (and not a hand-held device). Your suggestion is not a temporary or permanent solution...The solution is not to keep creating more problems via software design/fiddling there at wix. And by the way, I've tried that app from you folks: slow and buggy...not easy to maneuver through. I don't like it and avoid using it.

This happens occasionally...and they usually sort it out (takes a few days sometimes); more troubling is that the alert email sent from WIX is never received by subscribers. I've followed all the steps they recommend to get the alert recognized as non-spam by Google, Earthling, Yahoo email clients...to no avail.

But this is an ongoing issue with WIX...also, just because a notification gets sent out does not mean the subscribers actually receive it. Why? It seems because the WIX email/notification goes out to many people (and many bloggers use this option), WIX get labeled as a spammer by a lot of ISPs. For example, I (and my wife) don't even get the notification from WIX...from our own site! My ISP (earthlink) sees it as spam and deletes it even before it reaches our Spam folder...we don't even have the option of "allowing" the email from WIX to come to our Inbox (or even Spam folder). This happens with many ISPs for a variety of reasons (even Google mail will block it). So your subscriber often will not even know a new post is available...

Yes...same problem here (www.BirdingBob.com) - this has happened in the past (last time about April)...and seems to happen when a new feature/update occurs. The folks at WIX eventually catch up to the problem...but can be (unfortunately) amiss when it comes to acknowledging the problem and/or responding to inquiries such as yours (and I filed one on 23 July...and posted here in Discussion forum as well).

Blog Post (22-23 July 2021) Notification not being sent out by WIX Hi - an ongoing "issue" - when I finish a blog post (my weekly Newsletter) and hit "Publish" more often than not anyone/everyone subscribed to my blog gets a notification that a new post has just been published on my site. However, on 22-23 July, I tried twice to "Publish" but NO notification was sent from Wix to my subscribers. This has happened in the past...not too long ago in fact - and you folks corrected the problem. Could you once again see what the problem is on your side and fix? Victoria - I'd open a support ticket with them. Have them look at the settings on your web site - they sent me a bunch of helpful updates to settings I did not know even existed - since I did not design my site, I only use it to send out content. Once I made those updates, more people starting receiving my blog post alerts...not everyone but it did help a little.

OK cancel that! Since yesterday apparently the links are working again - no 404 error code.

support ticket at Wix - they host your blog correct? That is the only way you might get some help. They will first send you back a "form" response over what to look for that is causing problems (why your blog alerts/notifications of a new blog post) are not being received by subscribers. But those bullet suggestions they send you are not the problem...If you read the posts here on the Board, many people are having similar problems. These need to be addressed on a higher level - for example: Wix sends out a group email once every couple weeks or so to all its users to upgrade to a more expensive plan. I receive that with no problems...but why can't I even receive the Notification of a new blog post - from my own web site at Wix? My ISP (Earthlink) just deletes it before I even know I have it...in fact that alert does not even make it to my spam folder... Today I (twice) tried to publish a new blog entry. BOTH times, Wix did not even send out the alert to anyone... So the issue you bring up is an ongoing one and people post about it on and off...Again, the problem is with Wix - they have nice people there who usually politely answer emails - but getting things fixed is another matter.
