Anybody know how you look at customizing the image size in the new 'Custom Feed' option as part of the new blog layout ? In the old blog I could quite easily have a thumbnail and text beside that which summarized each of my blog posts, and worked ideal as a news feed on my main homepage - see www.inwalkedlouise.co.uk - left-hand side. In the new blog the Custom Feed just seems to be a copy of the main blog. Resizing the layout by dragging the corner handles will take it down to a certain size but once you try getting anything smaller than and image size of about 250 pixels the images no longer stay in 1 x 1 proportion. Any suggestions more than welcome. Cheers, Paul.

Hi Paul,
you could use Wix Posts collections feature and Wix code to create the desired look. I drop you few examples of how the feeds can be customised:
https://www.prescottmotorsport.co.uk/about-us (see the bottom. In your case, you could re-size the feed to displaying posts in one column)

So what can you do with it?
Design your entire blog feed and existing post widgets (e.g. Recent Post)
Create new widgets such as Popular Posts, Featured Posts etc.
How to do it?
1. Turn on Developer Tools and a database of your posts will be automatically created:
2. Add a repeater (from the Lists & Grids section in the add panel) or a gallery and design it to be a Recent post / Featured posts widget.
3. Connect the repeater / gallery to the post collection data, using a dataset. Make sure to connect the title to the Title field, the image (if exists) to the Cover Image field and link to the Post Page URL field.
Of course, this requires some skills of working with data. But you can try! Click here to learn how to work with collections and repeaters.
As for the migration from old blog to new - there is no deadline as for now, however, be aware that old blog is not supported anymore - we do not add features or fix bugs. It is recommended to switch to the new since we are focused on developing the new blog and it is already better in terms of SEO, performance, integration with Wix code, clean look, members area possibilities as more.
Hi Simona, Many thanks for getting back to me.
Here's a copy of how I'm currently utilising the Custom Feed in the old blog layout. This allows me and other users to look at making use of the Blog as a source of news. - Having a brief overview on the homepage then allowing users to click on the story to open up the main article / blog post.
I've tried using the layout option in the new blog but there doesn't appear to be anything that appears to offer this form of layout from what I can tell. The postcard option appears to offer scaled images, but these images scale down to no smaller than the size of the thumbnails / text combined in my example below. That and there's no associated text. :(
Any further advice would be greatly appreciated.
Is there any deadline on users needing to migrate their blogs over to the new layout ?
Hi Paul,
the described custom feed behaviour is as expected. Custom feed is different from main feed in terms that you can selected the posts category you want to display, set how many posts you want to show.
You can choose postcard layout and resize it to posts being displayed in one column, but as I understand, this is too big for you, correct?
