Hello!
I'm new to Wix and looking to design a site that functions mostly as a blog but I've hit a bit of a roadblock—blog posts all load on one page. Normally that would be fine but here's the issue, specifically: I'd like it so readers can scroll over a word and for a word bubble to appear above it. I've found a great app that can do exactly that but since it works with pages, anything I put on the post page will appear over all other posts, like so:
So, as you can see, unless a blog post can be loaded onto its own page, this idea isn't going to work. I have thought of creating posts as pages instead of using the blog but then I miss out on the custom feed stuff, more than quadruple my workload and risk bogging my site down with too much media. I have also considered simply making a reference page with definitions and linking the word to it (hopefully directly to the definition so one doesn't have to scroll through a list) but I'd rather not have to resort to these methods if I can help it; so... can it be helped? Is there something I've, hopefully, merely overlooked?
**Disclaimer: If you're human and thus have unwanted hair in places, let me just say, I don't recommend the bird-doo method. I merely share information and do not encourage or advise trying it yourself; as much as I, in a moment of desperation whilst tweezing, have been tempted to at least consider it. Have strength, don't use poop. Thank you.
Hi,
Thanks for contacting us.
Will you need to have these popups for each of your posts? or just for a specific post?
Basically, using a few lines of code you can identify which post is presented and show/hide elements respectively. I'm not sure that it will help on your case because you want the popups to appear in different places, right?
