Literally.
can't search in it
can't change colours
can't alter images
can't alter font or size
can't keep a stock of hashtags (which replaced perfectly serviceable tags)
can't attached linked posts to keep visitors on blog
can't easily edit or alter
can't actually be used for review blogging, it's a notebook
can't link hashtags
can't have previews on custom feeds, only first few lines from blog which look messy
can't keep all the shares, likes and comments Old Blog gained
can't be bothered to keep listing site-breaking faults with it.
can't track what's published as altering an imported blog causes it to replicate
oh, here's one;
can't read blogs once transferred; formatting, pic size, fonts, text are all formalised losing any personal changes and turns some blogs into nonsensical messes. it makes your work look amateurish when the point of a web builder is to make you look default professional.
here's another;
the irony is Wordpress will import your blog from your wix site when you start a site there and it does a much better job! Like, seriously did wix drop this by accident and are now seriously trying to style it out as a cool, on-the-go microblog? ridiculous.
also, while I'm at it;
can't assign new writers without going through membership which likely is for wix to track users and what about co-authoring, co-opt, the list keeps going on.
links go dead
blogs disappear between new and old when transporting
can't edit the custom feeds to add to other pages, the options are incredibly limiting and ruin pages
Wix, I know you're reading. You must understand you screwed the pooch on this one, the forums, twitter etc are full of very peeved users. it needs to be withdrawn or reworked with the old (standard, expected, normal) features. otherwise I might as well just run a Tumblr blog. that's free, I'm actually stupid enough to be paying for this? Currently wordpress has 20% off, how can Wix hope to keep hold of serious bloggers with this? are they actually shifting to other users? That's fine, but why force us off? Come on wix, it's an easy fix, you already have it to hand - it's called 'old blog'.
Siz yuqorida aytib o'tilganidek, xuddi shunday tarzda tanaffus qilishingiz mumkin, ammo yumshoqroq versiyada, tahlil qilish 1Win uz va pul tikish uchun sarflangan vaqtni jiddiy cheklash. To'g'ri, o'zini o'zi boshqarish qobiliyati yuqori bo'lgan odamlar bunga qodir, chunki hamma ham bo'sh vaqtini qat'iy qurishga qodir emas, bu esa o'zini sevimli mashg'ulot soatlarini qisqartirishga majbur qiladi.
THANK YOU for posting this. Frustrated with this thing beyond words. I contacted WIX support and have yet to get a response.
I just started yesterday building my new blog and I'm facing all these plus many more simple and basic problems, I'm not even in a mood to list them..how can this be possible!!!
The old blog feels like a paradise compared to this one and I really cope that WIX will put all its effort to do something about it really soon!
@Simona Griskute what say you?!
every day I find something that makes the new blog worse. Today its the fact that when you want to change a blog profile pic it goes to the main photo library not photos within the blog like old blog used to. what's the point in that besides badly considered design?
and what's with the new photo editor? it has less options? what exactly is Wix's point with simplifying everything to useless?
Well if you have spoken with a human, can you explain what the deal is? From all I have seen (and it's been more like a year and a half), the appearance is that WIX simply wants to wash its hands of blog support and has outsourced the blog to a one-man development shop somewhere that unfortunately has never supported a blog before. Otherwise I see no rationale in what is going on, because as you say, this isn't new technology.
I don't find this forum very helpful, either - all complaints, but few answers (though I suspect the reason is ther aren't answers to these issues.) The Help is also bizarre - you can't distinguish between the old blog and the new one and find what you need to know. You mention there is discussion of Wix blog on Twitter - how would I find that?
