Hi,
I've used an SEO audit tool to check my website performance and gave me some critical errors. These referred to hundreds of pages (see an example below) which are blocked from appearing on search engine (i.e. not "crawlable" by bots).
Now, I don't think that hiding pages like the one above from google would affect my SEO but wanted to double check on that. Also, if you think it would, how would I change my robot.text file to make those pages visible to google bots? Thanks,
Antonio
@Julius Seskevicius after making my tag pages indexable, now the SEO audit tools is telling they all have the same meta description (i.e. the one I used for my blog page). So, how can I create a customized meta description for each of those pages? Would adding a tag name variable do?
Hi @Julius Seskevicius, many thanks for that.
So, would you recommend doing it?
Cheers,
Antonio
Hi Antonio,
If you'd like make tag pages indexable, you have to:
In the business manager, open "Marketing & SEO"
SEO tools
SEO patterns
Blog Tags
Click Edit on "Search engines & social media"
And toggle "Let search engines index your blog tags" ON
I hope this helps!
